Two Interesting Days

I told you all I would let you know about my appt. on Monday. Everything went great. My ultrasound showed two growing and healthy babies. Baby Boy is showing at 5lbs. 9oz. and Baby girl is coming in at 5lbs. 1oz. The ultrasound tech told me the boy twin has a chubby belly :) and girl twin has long legs. I can't wait to see these precious babes. The doctor was impressed with how things were going and planned on seeing me in a week. And then.....
Tuesday afternoon came and I started having major contractions again. I tried to stop them even with the Rx they had given me. No change. So me and the hubby headed up to the hospital again. They checked and things were happening. I was at a 5 and supposedly moved to a 7 in dialation. So off I went to Labor and Delivery and got an epidural and everything. My regular doctor came in a few hours after all this and told me there was no change. I was still at a 5 after several hours so I needed to go home. :( So sad, I started to cry after he left. I was ready to deliver but my body has other plans. I know it is best for the twins to be in a little longer. Just frustrated by all the wasted time at the hospital lately.
I just wanted to thank everyone again for your phone calls and prayers. I know this is helping me and my family get through this crazy experience. We are truly blessed.

  1. No babies, WHAT???? Truly I'm grateful. They can keep growing in your little oven and get bigger and older. Hopefully, you'll be able to bring them home with you!

You've been in my thoughts and prayers and I can't wait for them to be born! You and Craig are wonderful parents and these babies will bless your lives greatly. Megan and Ashley will be awesome helpers too!

I guess I better start sewing now!!!!
    Love ya, Jules

  4. I'm glad that everything is okay. I know it's hard to not have them here yet, and I know you feel horrible, but keeping them in a little longer will be a big blessing in the end. (Less time or no time at the NICU). Keep hanging in there, and call me if you need anything.
    Love ya.

  5. Oh Kris....I am sure it was so hard to be dilated, get an epidural and think the babies were on the way, but at least it gives them more time to develop. You'll have that sweet long legged girl and chubby little guy in your arms before you know it! Hang in there. Let us know if we can help in any way!

Can't wait to meet your new little ones (when it's time)! We are so excited for you guys..(most people say that to us and then say but we're glad it's you and not us! I guess that doesn't apply here!) Hope to see you soon!
