Slipping through My Fingers

I titled this post after the Abba song. As the day approached for M's baptism the words of the song ran through my mind. Where has the time gone? My first born was getting baptized!! I remember my mom warning me about how fast the time would go. I didn't believe her. It seemed like the first two years of her life took forever. And now here I was picking out a white dress for her special day. As I got her ready that morning I had overwhelming feelings of gratitude for this beautiful daughter who is sweet, loving and smart. She is an amazing big sister and incredible friend. She wants to choose the right. I pray that that desire will always be there. I hope the day doesn't come too quickly of when I will be with her picking out another white dress. I intend to enjoy the coming years and what they will bring.
